Yes, they are. In all my life I've only hit a woman once and that was after more than seven years of abuse and the woman throwing a radio alarm clock at me and hitting me in the face (yes, literally clocked). I stood steadfast ready to leave and was bolting out the door when she came at me and stuck her knee in my thigh causing extreme pain and I reacted with a slap to the face, so I could leave.
Women do shit like that because they know men will not fight back and I think that's far worse than a man who fights back defending himself or exacting revenge.
That said; you can see in the video the woman has struck him several times before the man reacts with a knock out blow to the face. I'm not saying it's right but where do you draw the line with a violent woman? In Texas, if you're struck by a woman and you strike back, you both go to jail. I would suggest no forceful retaliation and instead calling the police, wish would be much worse for the woman. Unfortunately, some can't hold on that long.
