Charge the kids for a beat down? the antagonist had a gun vs. kids armed with nothing more than skateboards. yeah. clear case of self defense here. But I agree, I would have beat this fool till I was tired.... then I would have taken his gun, wallet, shoes, and left him for dead.

In canada there is no self defence, meaning if someone is attacking you, you probably did something to provoke it.
and since those kids used weapons causing bodily harm, they might get probation here.
guy with* an illegal fire arm,criminal intent to use,harassment,mischeiv,uttering threats,use of a controlled firearm in an unsafe manner, assaulting minors,if they wangster was 17 or almost 17 he'd be charged as an adult.
