The Bitch of Buchenwald
![]() Ilse Koch was the wife of Karl Koch, commandant of the extermination camps of Buchenwald (1937-1941) and Majdanek (1941-1943). Ilse became famous for darkly sourvenir collecting pieces of tattooed skin of camp prisoners. Survivors tell stories of lamp shades made of human skin she had put in his room and was known by the nickname 'The Bitch of Buchenwald', and by nature perverse sadistic cruelty with which she treated the prisoners in the field. ![]() Born in Dresden, Germany, a city-martyr of World War II and a farmer's daughter, she was known as a polite and happy child in elementary school. At 15 she left school to work in a factory and later a bookstore. At the time, the German economy had not yet recovered from the defeat of World War I and his work at the bookstore did start to get interested in emerging Nazi ideology, which made her begin to have sex - partly sexual - with local members of SA. ![]() In 1936, she began working as a guard and secretary at the Sachsenhausen concentration camp near Berlin, where she met the commander Karl Koch, whom she married. In 1937, she came to Buchenwald not as a guard, but as the wife of the commander. Influenced by him and his power, Ilse started torturing and humiliating prisoners in 1940, built a sports arena closed, with money from prisoners and their relatives and the following year became senior supervisor of the small female guards who served at Buchenwald . In 1941, Karl Otto Koch was transferred to the command of Majdanek, where he would serve for two years. In 1943, however, they were arrested by the Gestapo on charges of embezzling money and goods collected in the field Jews, who by law was owned by the Reich. Ilse was imprisoned until early 1945 when she was acquitted and released, but her husband was sentenced to death and executed in April of that year. She then went to live with the surviving members of his family in the town of Ludwigsburg where she was arrested by the Americans on June 30, 1945. Tried for war crimes in 1947 and sentenced to life imprisonment, was freed after serving four years on the grounds of his lawyers that the evidence obtained was not conclusive. So that was liberated by the Americans, was arrested again this time by the Germans and brought back before a court of law, due to the large number of protests against the decision to release, and again sentenced to life imprisonment. Ilse Koch committed suicide by hanging herself in prison female Aichach after writing a final letter to his son, on September 1st, 1967 at 60 years of age. Collection of human parts seized at the home of Ilse. Re: The Bitch of Buchenwald
Amazing stuff Kelly!! Ed Gein read about her, which prompted him to do similar things with skin and body parts that he removed from the local cemetary. How can you tell when it is cold in Ilse Koch's apartment? The furniture has goosebumps. |

Re: The Bitch of Buchenwald
Shrunken heads and tattooed skin?! Next well be hearing about human soap and matresses made of human hair. I believe she was probably a bitch to some prisoners so they got their revenge by telling all these lies about her. Hope they were satisfied when she hung.
