Re: Swiss Turists in Rented Ferrari Killed in Crash with Motorhome
News Prosecutors in Cagliari have opened an investigation into 'double road homicide', meaning V. O. could face up to seven years in jail if charged and found guilty. An Indian billionaire and husband of a Bollywood star is under investigation for allegedly causing a horror car smash which killed two Swiss nationals on the Italian island of Sardinia. Hospitality and real estate tycoon V. O., 54, was allegedly driving a Lamborghini as part of an Italian supercar tour last week with his filmstar wife G. J. sitting in the passenger seat. Shocking dash cam footage showed how the Lamborghini suddenly darted out from behind the motorhome into the path of the oncoming Ferrari, resulting in a huge crash that flipped the RV and sent the cars careening off the road. -- V. O. is believed to be one of India's richest men. The tycoon is also the head of O. Realty, a real estate developer which builds and sells luxury properties in Mumbai. Meanwhile, Swiss couple Mr. and Mrs. K., who hailed from Wallisellen, near Zurich, burned to death in the aftermath of the horrific incident, according to local media. Mr. K. worked at the family logistics firm, which bore his name and had offices in Belgium, Switzerland and Portugal. A couple from Selva di Val Gardena, aged 61 and 62, who were travelling in the motorhome were injured and taken to hospital. |

Re: Swiss Turists in Rented Ferrari Killed in Crash with Motorhome
I know that if I had rented a $300K supercar, I sure as hellfire wouldn't be passing anybody on the road. I'd be driving like an old lady, afraid to put the tiniest scratch on the vehicle that would cost me $10K to fix.

I strongly disagree with the prosecutors in this case It should have been obvious to anyone except a complete idiot that the Lamborghini was setting up for his pass. |

Yes but it's not meant to be taken literally most of the time. It's just a casual expression we use that either means 'kiss my ass' or something like "F* me! / Are you kidding me?!" like in this context! That being said; Perfect example of F* around and find out - road edition, and they honestly got what they had coming. The only ones I felt sorry for was the couple in the camper. Just imagine starting- & directly having to end your holiday like that, and all because some rich-ass delusional yuppies in some fancy cars couldn't have a bit more patience.. |

any good footage of the aftermath or fire? Just my 2 cents, I'm so fukin sick of this "bollywood" crap. Nobody ever cared, or does care about crap movies or actors from that region. Stick to your crappy food and driving taxis while stinking like incense. |

Re: Swiss Turists in Rented Ferrari Killed in Crash with Motorhome
Lambo is at fault by Autobahn rules (which apply to most of Euro in my experience): Vehicle must pass to left; faster vehicle in left lane always has ROW; vehicle may not enter left lane if it impedes a vehicle already in left lane. Yes it was a 2-laner not a bahn but they clearly crossed over into bahn maneuvers there. |
