A young man was hit by a car early on Monday (16) after crossing an avenue in Praia Grande , on the coast of Sao Paulo, and suffered several fractures.

Murilo de Almeida Alves Teixeira, 21, was taken to the Hospital. A witness recorded at the time of the accident. The driver of the car fled.

According to Regiane Roque Rodrigues, who is a cousin of Murilo, the family spent the carnival holiday in Praia Grande. "The doctors said he fractured his head, three ribs and his pelvis.

In addition he crushed the leg bone and ended up having kidney and perforated bowel.
The images recorded by a cell-phone of a tourist you can see the time when Murilo crosses the avenue.

Crossing the way it looks to the side of where the car is, but it's still hit by the vehicle, which fled the accident scene.
So far, the driver of the vehicle was not located.
