What roller coasters and amusement park rides have you been on where your head is “dunked” into sand?
Makes no sense.
And.
He’s lucky the turning rod was that much higher so his head wasn’t hitting the ground multiple times and even more lucky that there was a relatively quick reaction from the guy who turned off the damn thing.

His arm and both legs are what’s hitting the ground.

Because come on, if his head made contact like that multiple times, he could have easily had a fractured neck or skull, maybe even ingest some of that sand and choke to death while spinning.

We all saw those other videos of people being spun to death.

I was referring to the fact that being spun around multiple times isn't enough to kill somebody, so it's unlikely this guy actually died. As you pointed out, his head was just grazing the sand; if he'd been a few inches lower, this video might have had a more favorable outcome (for us, that is)
