Correct. But once they've been found guilty, we spend massive amounts of taxpayers dollars to house and feed them for years and years. Give them their trial, let a group of their peers go over the evidence, then sentence them to decades in prison and call it "rehabilitation "?

We have no evidence that a trial was even conducted in this case.

Furthermore, prisoners are entitled to the minimum amount of humane treatment, not because they deserve it, but because we as a society are better than they are, and because at any time, ANY of those inmates could be exonerated by new evidence, and you can't exonerate a man if he's dead.

Posthumous pardon? Shitload of good THAT'S gonna do.

Would you be ok with a man raping your child and being freed after a few years to do it again? Anyway, I agree with you when you talked about the importance of due process, but our punishments are weak and expensive. And honestly, anyone that has been found guilty, through the process, shouldn't have the right to three meals a day, free medical, and a dry place to sleep... all on my dime. Just my opinion.

That energy that you are focusing on revenge, which is distinct from justice, could be channeled into helping your child heal and move on with their life. Forget about that piece of shit, he'll be convicted, he'll be put away for a long time. Focus on your child, help them reestablish a solid foundation.
