Re: Worker Knocked Into Garbage Disposal
They don't stop for long. Go to the website for SSI industries, and you can watch the videos of the machines in operation, reducing different items to a prescribed limit for recycling. They change direction after a few seconds, and rotate backwards for a while, and then switch to forward again. This machine is just waiting to reverse rotation and grind the other way. I guarantee he was rent into small pieces. The machines are built so you tell them what you want the output to be, and they design the cutting wheels and drive programs to give you that output. From 1/4" square up to 6" by 6" and anything in between. Nothing stops or jams them. I have watched them chew up engine blocks with crankshafts still in them. They munched through the crankshafts like they were Fritos. Bowling balls. I-Beams. Railroad car springs. NOTHING withstands them. |
