I am truly sorry to hear you lost your fingers. That would have happened to me if I had worked my career in metalworking, lucky for me it was just a college summer job in a stamping / spring factory. I stuck my hand in a 300 ton press to fuck around with a malfunctioning die, my boss, who was in the 'Nam and knew danger when he saw it, told me never to do that again. The joke was you could recognize the tool and die workers at the local titty bar, they were the ones holding their beer with their thumb and pinky finger (the only fingers they had left). |
