May 28th, 2009. This poor woman was apparently walking to the beach when she was killed by a drunk driver in the middle of the day.

ANKARA, May 29 A Turkish drunk driver has run over a Russian woman in the Antalya resort. Local media reported on Saturday that the RF tourist, Galina Zubareva, 51, died on the spot from the impact.

The incident took place on Friday in Alanya county where popular among foreign tourists resorts are situated.

According to available information, the 40-year-old Mustafa Mezek was at the wheel of the car.

He lost control of the vehicle as he was intoxicated and as a result of speeding.

His car rammed garbage containers at the roadside, a truck and a car.

After the collision Bezek’s car became uncontrollable and changing trajectory it hit the Russian woman who was crossing the street.

Galina Zubareva arrived in Antalya about a week ago in order to visit her brother.

The intoxicated driver got minor injuries and bruises and was detained. The investigation is underway.

The RF Consulate General in Antalya is ascertaining the details of the incident.

Also one of the reasons she died, She was walking pretty damn close to the road, Coulda lived if she was over more.
