Cool video and all, this is one of those few times I'm glad someone embedded it from YT cause it lead me to a great documentary about a suicide forest in japan.

It's a tough call. Many people wouldn't help because they feel like it's not their business to interfere, or maybe they'd be worried about falling themselves. Also people are shocked and don't think to do anything. Also there is the "bystander effect" which is a real phenomenon which states that the greater number of people that are present, the less likely people are to help a person in distress. Even in small groups of 2 or 3 people, the likelihood of a person intervening is cut in half compared to a single person. That's the reason nobody helped. |
