True, but in the USA it would seem out of place for a scene like this to play out with police on the scene. Not that it couldnt or won't ever happen. There may be more to this story than we know but it comes as no shock to me that this happened in Iran.

the true story is :
she was forced to get laid with three guys by her husband to take money and buy drugs ! but she deny and then she killed her husband.
it is happened in iran, in a town near by tehran is called "karaj"
she is not encouraged , she is out of her mind and dont know what she is doing, after 2 hours bitting the man, she got arrested .
in iran police is not supposed to help people , they just attack people who need freedom in country. if this woman shouted " down with dictator" you will see military atacking her and arresting at 10 sec !
