Husband and nephew are arrested suspected of killing a woman out of jealousy in Vicentinópolis; video shows crime

Security cameras recorded the moment a woman was shot while running down a sidewalk in Vicentinópolis, southern Goiás. V. D., 38, was hit by three shots. According to the Civil Police. her husband, R. F., 43, and his nephew, C. H., 19, are the men who appear in the images (see video) and would have committed the crime out of jealousy. They were arrested on Thursday (1st).

In formal testimony, both preferred to remain silent. However, according to the delegate responsible for the case, R. said, informally, that he killed the woman out of jealousy due to an alleged treason. They had been together for nine years.

The deputy also pointed out that a lawyer called the police station and said that he was the representative of the two. However, he did not know the name of the professional.

The crime was committed on October 27, around 9am. The pictures show when the car of V. stopped in the street when she starts to run.

"The two suspects chased her in another car, she tried to run away, but it was closed, and then she got off and tried to run off on foot, but she was persecuted again," said the G1.

Cruelty
Following the video, you can see the victim running down the sidewalk when hit by a shot in the back - fired a few feet away - and falls to the ground.

According to police, the shot was made by C. H.. The young man, who is in all black clothes, threatens to run, but stops, and comes back with his gun in his hand. He points to the victim's head, but the weapon is out of ammunition. "Before he hit her, he unloaded the drum by firing a shot at it, and the others took the wall," explains C..

The suspect then reloads the gun. At that moment, R., in a blue shirt, also appears in the image. He grabs something on the floor while his nephew points the gun, but he can not shoot.

R. then holds the woman by the arm, and C. H. fires at her face. Before they escape, he shoots again, also in the head. The victim died instantly.

Recidivism
The two were arrested in Goiatuba, also in the southern region. The delegate explained that they all live in Joviânia, 24 km from Vicentinópolis. On the day of the incident, the woman went to the city to solve private matters.

C. also revealed that V. had already registered an incident against the husband by threat, last year.

The two suspects were taken to Pontalina Prison. They will be indicted for the crime of femicide and, if convicted, may take a penalty ranging from 12 to 30 years.
