A 36-year old Romanian woman suspected of killing another woman at the Bucharest subway has been detained by prosecutors of the Bucharest Public Prosecutor’s Office on Wednesday morning (December 13), after being heard for several hours at the headquarters of the Bucharest Police.

She is suspected of having pushed a 25-year old woman in front of the train at the Dristor subway station on Tuesday evening. The young woman died.

The mother of the murderer, who is being heard by police, told law enforcement officials that her daughter was the victim of women's abuse in Spain.

Because of this Magdalena Şerban hated women and probably because of this she would have committed the crime.

The first hypothesis of the investigators is that the woman has psychiatric problems and was asked if she was admitted to a psychiatric hospital.

Magdalena Serban denied but herbrother contradicts her. He says that a couple of years ago she was admitted to a specialized clinic in Spain but in 2015 she discontinued the treatment.

The woman who committed the crime attacked another young woman at the Costin Georgian subway station shortly before. Surveillance footage showed her trying to push the younger woman off the platform three times, but the victim fought her and managed to escape in the end.
