In the early hours of this morning, residents of the Al-Omraneyah area in Giza Governorate woke up to a tragic incident. A massive fire completely gutted an apartment inside the "Al-Mahmoudiyah Towers," resulting in the deaths of five family members whose bodies were charred by the intense, trapping flames, despite their desperate struggles to escape.

The details of the incident unfolded when the Emergency Operations Room of the Giza Security Directorate received an urgent call from residents reporting a major fire, with intense flames and smoke billowing from the windows of a high-rise apartment in Al-Omraneyah. In response, five fire engines equipped with water tankers were immediately dispatched. A security cordon was set up around the site to facilitate the civil protection team's efforts and prevent the towering flames from spreading to neighboring units in the same building.

Eyewitnesses among the victims' neighbors and tower residents recounted the terrifying final moments of the stricken family. Witnesses told Al-Masry Al-Youm that the fire rapidly engulfed the apartment, blocking all exit routes through the main door. This trapped the family members inside the rooms and at the windows, where they cried out to passersby on the street for help amidst thick rising smoke that quickly suffocated them before the flames reached their bodies.

Witnesses shared a shocking detail about the incident, noting that the mother, in a desperate final attempt to save her young daughter from burning to death as flames engulfed their bedroom, jumped from the window of the high-rise apartment with her child to escape the fire. However, the horrific fall resulted in their immediate deaths upon impact with the ground. Both sustained severe burns, joining the other three family members whose completely charred bodies were found inside the apartment after firefighters succeeded in extinguishing the blaze.

Once the fire was fully controlled and cooling operations were completed to prevent reignition, rescue teams and investigators entered the ruined apartment. The initial inspection revealed that the apartment's contents were completely reduced to ash. Rescuers discovered the charred bodies of the three remaining family members. Ministry of Health ambulances were immediately summoned, and all five bodies were transported to the public hospital morgue, where they remain at the disposal of the Public Prosecution for forensic examination to determine the exact causes of death.

The security agencies of the Giza Security Directorate have initiated all necessary legal and regulatory procedures regarding the incident. A formal police report was filed, and the Public Prosecution was notified to begin its investigation. The prosecution ordered forensic experts and the General Administration of Criminal Evidence to meticulously examine the scene of the fire and collect forensic evidence to determine the technical and scientific causes of the blaze, establish whether there is any criminal suspicion, or confirm if the fire was caused by a sudden electrical short circuit in the apartment's internal wiring. The process of issuing burial permits for the five victims has also begun so their bodies can be handed over to their relatives for burial, as a deep state of grief hangs over the entire Al-Omraneyah area.

She didn't crawl out. Her corpse just tumbled out when the fire had eaten off the legs and boiled away the moisture. Look, you can see all juice down the wall. That juice needs to be on the inside.
