Such so reflexes to always brake on the victims instead of before them! But at least this truck has working brakes as the meat skidmark will attest to!  |

In this sort of situation, maybe it would have been better if the driver had inched the lorry forward slightly, and put her out of her misery. There's no way she would survive.

I've seen a woman being resusitated, in cardiac arrest, having agonal breathing. And she was conscious, but in and out, until she quickly passed away. So I guess the answer is you can be, but you might not be. I guess it depends on everything else that's going on.  |

In such a state you are most likely in shock so conscious and aware are both highly unlikely...conscious maybe so
