i read this was an european hornet and filmed in russia. the poor mousie probably came too close to the hornet's nest so they attack anything trying to scare it off or kill.

That's one fucking psychopath right there. I hate, hate, HATE wasps and hornets with passion - and I normally adore all animals, including bugs. But these two species are more like sadistic trolls. Bring me a large confined space and big enough amount of Zyklon B, and soon you'll be able to enjoy a wasp-free world.
