The post said that she was shot in the torso. I was wondering about that before I read your comments. I suppose the blood flow could be from a wound in her back, but my first impression was also that it was a head shot. She was barely alive in the CPR video. Right at the beginning she opened and closed her mouth once.

That was Agonal Breathing. The brain stem initiates it, but it isn't sufficient to maintain life. It was a sign she wasn't getting blood flow to the brain. What probably happened is she got hit in a major artery and bled out internally rapidly.

Pretty much. Agonal breathing. Brain stem damaged, no longer intact. Most people that are in this agonal breathing phase die unless there's immediate help other than someone doing CPR. Well at least she tried.
