Re: USA - Tampa Biker Sent Flying In Hit-and-run
she is the victim it was the biker’s fault, driving away doesn’t change that nor does a suspended license |

Re: USA - Tampa Biker Sent Flying In Hit-and-run
Had she not gone on the road, which she wasn't allowed to do, it wouldn't have happened in the first place. She's no 'victim', her behaviour is that of an idiot.

She had no license. She shouldn't have been on the road.

Re: USA - Tampa Biker Sent Flying In Hit-and-run
FFS. If you are on a bike or pedestrian, do your damndest to make sure you're visible. I didn't see a glint of anything while watching and he slowly cut across traffic from a side street that was much darker than the main road? Use your eyes and ears.Guarantee he likely could've seen the headlights on the road before hearing the car and avoided all of this. Yes, she should've stopped, called 911, and rendered aid, but where's the basic self preservation when you're on a gd bike?! You are the crumple zone. As a pedestrian, I still check both traffic at crosswalks (I've seen cars go in the wrong direction on one way streets, albeit rarely) and this was before I even found this site. When I used to walk home after work late at night I carried a handheld flashlight that I used when crossing the street just to give an extra visual cue to drivers that I was nearby. Dude was 57 and way too old to be acting like a young fool. The both of them were horrible and this was completely avoidable with basic common sense, safety measures. The stupidity hurts my head. |
