It seems the default position is to stand back pointing a gun instead of taking the initiative and attempting to subdue the woman. The officers should have assisted their colleague as soon as the woman was on the floor. Terrible policing.

And this is why you never count on "less lethal" methods to work. Tasers have a high failure rate, especially if the person is on drugs. And judging by that freaked out, insane look in her eyes and smile on her face, she probably was.

It doesn't say who made the original call reporting the domestic violence? did he call because she was being violent to him perhaps threatening him with a knife? or did she call because he was being violent? if this is the case him screaming "don't kill her" just minutes after he whooped her ass seems kind of funny. |
