There's that pretty sweet episode of American Gods. It shows the reverse travels of a bullet that shoots someone crossing the Mexico border. I think the human incarnation of the God of war (Mars maybe)--a lunatic who owns an ammunition factory. At the end of the episode, so the beginning of the bullet's journey Mars is thrown into a giant vat of boiling brass and processed into bullets.
That could be jumbled up to all get out, but I do know there's an awesome bullet voyage sequence at the beginning of Lord of War.
