An undercover police officer was shot after reacting to an attempted robbery at a drugstore in Rio Grande, southern Rio Grande do Sul (Brazil... of course) on Tuesday night. Images from a security camera show the shooting: a pair of armed criminals entered the establishment and announced the robbery.
In the exchange of fire, which lasted about 20 seconds, the policeman was shot twice, one of the perpetrators died from his wounds and the other was shot in the leg. According to the commander of the 6th Military Police Battalion, Major A.C., the policeman underwent surgery to remove the two projectiles. At dawn on Wednesday, he was referred to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the hospital. There is no up-to-date information about his health. The other shot criminal who is 21 is also interned there, the dead man was 23.

The size of officer balls is freaking huge. I mean, how fast he reacted.. without any thought jumped right in to action. Most likely he killed people before or was in a shootouts many times

The one that died was clearly shooting even after he was hit from first shot. This reminds me of the other new video where a clerk at cell phone store shot an armed robber even after he went down from first shot. Some people were bitching about the clerk shooting the robber after he was down. I’ve been told by prosecutors it is perfectly reasonable to fire at an armed criminal until you run out of ammo. That establishes that you were in fear of your life. Firing one shot in the head of a robber could be seen by a prosecutor as an execution, maybe even after a robber was disarmed, or the threat was over. In that situation it’s always better to have only ONE side of the story.

The cop picks up the perps revolver then appears to shoot the wounded perp outside with the perp's revolver LEFT HANDED while bleeding profusely from the leg.

We need more cops like that, perp killing machines that come out shooting and don't give up even when wounded.

What I've learned on DR:

1) gun fights are FAST, its required to have a gun already in hand when swarthy perps enter your area

2) might want to carry Quick Clot / Combat Gauze in an accessible pocket to plug holes on yourself or friendlies from knife and gun wounds

Its a shame the video jumps and skips a frame right about the time the cop took a hit. Its hard to tell which perp shot him. Hope he pulls through. that was a lot of blood loss.
