the Quran says to kill them wherever you find them, meaning atheists, Christians (polytheism) and apostates (which are their view to whom they just killed)

it says kill them and fight them where THEY fight you and if they cease fighting then seek peace you can't read the Quran without knowing the historical context behind it and the war and oppression going on during the time of revelation, You also have to follow hadith which is how muhammed enacted the laws and directions of the Quran.
