I know someone who was a strong swimmer, went to the same lake to swim every year and one year he drowned there.
It just unfortunately happens sometimes.

Maybe the bed/flooring(?) had a drop off they didn't realize was there. And then it looks like one was panicking and was trying to stay up by pushing the other one down.
Maybe there is some sort of current they were swimming against and it tired them out.

If you don't know how to break a panicked individuals death grip and secure them for the swim back then don't even jump in because they'll be fishing out two instead of one.

One boy begins drowning, then other boy swims too close and the one drowning tries to use the other boy(one who whacks the ball) to save himself, drowning them both in the process.

It looks like they drowned eachother. They were managing to barely stay afloat apart.

My guess is they were working really hard under the water to keep their heads above. And they both were beginning to tire. And when they get close, one grabs the other as people do when they begin to panic. And they basically killed eachother. I wouldn't be surprised after going under they were pushing and kicking and clawing at eachother.

Feel terrible for the kids. Not much pity for the parents. Nearly all mammals can swim. Like 99.99% can. A fucking cow can swim. A horse, a damn elephant. Even Deer with their small hooves and skinny legs and big round body's can swim. I've seen 3 year olds swim.

Teach your fucking children to swim. After all our planet is nearly 3/4 water. Just seems like something important.
