Turkish Security Forces Shooting Kurdish Civilians Waving White Flag

In the beginning of the video, people are seen carrying two bodies on a cart covered with blankets while waving white flags. Kurdish locals have been using this method to pick up and bury the bodies of their murdered relatives due to ongoing operations and curfews in southeastern towns. Security forces have been attacking civilians who attempt to retrieve the bodies of their relatives from the street, which is why many of the dead have been left on the streets for days.

The group then appears to be attacked by guns fired from armored vehicles. Journalist Refik Tekin, despite falling due to his injuries, continues to film in a pool of blood while deceased and wounded people are captured by his camera. The ambulance arrived hours after the attack.

Refik Tekin is an award-winning journalist, photographer and cameraman, best known for his work exposing Turkish soldiers and ISIS militants together by the Turkey-Syria border, for which he was threatened by Turkish soldiers. Tekin also reported being tortured by police who dragged and kicked the injured while they were being carried to the ambulance. Pro-government media reported the attack as clashes between security forces and PKK militants, and causalities as PKK militants.

Turkish officials, as usual, referred to all the slain as “PKK terrorists,” saying they killed 21 “terrorists” in Cizre, and four others elsewhere in southeast Turkey. They further claimed 524 “terrorists” were slain in the operation since early December.

Back then, Turkey declared an all-day, non-stop curfew in Cizre and some other Kurdish towns, and has been shooting pretty much anybody caught on the streets at any time. The huge civilian death toll has added to unrest, particularly among Kurds,, and led to calls for further crackdowns on both the Kurds and Turkish academics who have criticized the attacks.

While the video evidence of shooting obvious civilians is making the rounds in the international media, so far it does not appear to be reported in the Turkish media. Since the Erdogan government has shut down media outlets as “terrorists” for publishing information unfavorable to the ongoing military operation, this is unsurprising.

Great combat footage... Bullet hits one of the victims and you can see how rapidly he bled out with the pool of blood getting bigger and lack of movement.

Its on the very east areas of Turkey. Terrorist in there are making all the bad plans. Like wearing a woman dress and fire, acting like an innocent person and etc ... So Turkey government has decided to make curfew. So that they can find & kill the terrorists easily. Posting a video that claims " Turkish Security Forces Shooting Kurdish Civilians Waving White Flag" doesnt make our soliders are killing innocent people. The poster is most probably a kurdish guy who hates Turkey.
