I thought those cockpits had explosive bolts on the canopies so they could eject - why couldn't he eject?

yeah why not pull eject handle? of course if he already loosened his harnessess he would probable be killed when he came down but fuck its better than sitting there and drowning

Wow that cockpit is air tight so it is water tight too, plane will keep sinking hundreds of meters and pilot will be alive until the glass of the cockpit cant hold the pressure anymore and implode and crushing the pilot immediately
