You can see the whole section is pedestrianized with bollards. They form a 90 degree right angle at the traffic light post.

Bollards. They can be seen clearly to the lower left of the traffic light. They actually form a right angle with the traffic light post. The whole bottom right of the area is pedestrianized

Traffic posts (bollards). They're supposed to prevent stuff like this. Probable saved more lives in this case.  |

Bollards provide excellent protection and also pedestrian flow between the bollards. Bollards are the simplest, most effective and surest protection available. All in all they are reasonable in cost too. |
