According to my friend (who, unlike me, can understand what they say):

random witness reported a possible bomb at the place, which is very crowded every friday and bomb technicians arrived at the scene in hurry, trying to defuse the device at time (that's why they had no suits etc.)

Investigators said that the device was probably remotely detonated, so I guess some fucker stood in the crowd and waited to get at least these guys.

All three of them were professional bomb technicians with many years experience, all three of them died at the scene.

Thanks, it matches what I've been told: basically, the attempt to defuse it has nothing to do with the explosion, which was remotely controlled, likely with some cellphone.
