Waiting for the backstories
He had no criminal record and was dating a girl in the neighbourhood he lived in and didn't have permission from the drugs gang, that controls the neighbourhood, to date her. He insisted in seeing her so he was killed for not obeying their rules.
I think one of the gang members had the hots for the girl also and got jealous.
