yep, that was murder. you dont need that many cops and a dog to disarm a drugged up kid. just taze and send the dog in instead of firing their weapons. it looks like they tried to the unsuspecting right wing eye, but really it was going to end badly from the beginning. i'm sure the kid was too fucked up to understand what was going on anyway.

i suppose a blackman ( a criminal mind you) shooting a cop in the head for what seemed to be sport is cool?...theyre not out hunting you, stop hurting other people and you wont get shot by a cop.

Re: Teenage Stabbing Suspect on LSD, Fatally Shot by a Santa Cruz County Deputy
This is why it will be safer for everybody to deploy drones and robot cops instead of humans. That way the focus can be on safely apprehending suspects with a minimum of killing and shooting and maximum safety for nearby civilians. With robot cops, who are not just physically tougher but also are not mortal, so to speak, there won't be this urgent necessity to open up with lethal firepower at the possibility of an existential danger or the presence of a weapon etc. The presence of fear, on both sides of the equation, makes the situation far more dangerous for everybody. Whereas for instance those cops could be piloting robot drone cops from the base instead and everybody would have a much cooler head, instead of walking through a neighborhood with AR15s drawn and all. |

We need a new apprehension technology. Say, a heavy net that can be fired from an RPG-type device and completely restrain the perp. Shooting the poor idiot to death seems a little extreme in this case, and the K9 definitely so.

Laura, you can never win an argument on this site when it comes to these people defending cops, no matter how fucked the actions are of said officers. |
