Re: Taiwan - Pilot And Instructor Killed As Plane Crashes After Takeoff
Nothing to worry, they probably just got distracted because they saw Nancy Pelosi taking a dump in the bushes, between the straits. She will surely propel them to safety. |

Re: Taiwan - Pilot And Instructor Killed As Plane Crashes After Takeoff
Taiwanese news always gives plenty of detail as to the condition of bodies. I grew up on Taiwanese news and the West thinks I'm morbid that whenever someone dies I like to talk about the state of their remains.

Re: Taiwan - Pilot And Instructor Killed As Plane Crashes After Takeoff
It sure looks like he was doing a low pass for the kids family to get on camera. Just look how close they are to the runway they're practically on the runway. After the low pass he decided to showboat with an aggressive climbing turn, he just did it too hard and ran out of energy, got behind the power curve and then failed to lower the nose and stalled it. But that low to the ground you don't have many options. It's entirely possible that the kid in the front grabbed the controls in a moment of panic when he felt the plane mushing to the ground. And the instructor was not able to overpower him. That's one of the reasons tandem aircraft are not good for initial training because if the student freaks out and does the wrong thing with the controls you're unable to slap their hands away from the controls and your only option is to attempt to overpower them which is not easily done. It's not really an accelerated stall because the wings are level when the stall actually occurs. |
