IMO It’s not about the victims honor. The honor is for their “family” reputation, cleanse the family of the “bad” seeds. So as soon as the family found out their family members actions that go against the family rules/life, the family doesn’t look at that family member of being worth anything. They are legit hated on, forced to endure abuse from them until the family murders them.
