Re: Student Falls To Death Hanging On Air Balloon
I was thinking the same thing. That little one seemed like she didn't know if she should be excited or scared.....looking to the adult to see how to react.....I'm sure that's a day she will never forget...dad probably just made her a future DR enthusiast....

Re: Student Falls To Death Hanging On Air Balloon
Not sure about that. I don't know if the perspective is fucked up at all, but he fell about 9 "body heights" from the moment he let go. Most people with their arms extended will reach about 6.5-8 feet, so based on that calculation we're looking at something like 60-75 feet. The median fatal height for a fall is 48 feet, so I'm not sure this fall is going to be survived very often. Then again, the article above says he was 10 meters/30 feet when he let go, but looking at the video I think they're way off. |

Re: Student Falls To Death Hanging On Air Balloon
Yes, I agree. I scaled a fall height of 75 feet assuming the victim was 7 feet long with his hands extended. The dude was traveling 48 mph when he hit the ground, and he landed upright on his ass so his spine took the full brunt of the impact. I expect it snapped his neck. |
