Re: Struck and Killed by Boat Propeller in Egypt
i hope the people who didnt attempt to help learned he was killed and see this thread, his blood is on your hands and when you die and go to what ever place you go to, i hope the victim gets to bludgeon each one of you with a boat anchor for eternity, its situations like this where a person could have survived yet died only because of the fact people didnt want to take a few minutes from their worthless lives to help, i strongly believe that anyone who stands by, and just watches someone die who is fully capable of helping should be charged with wreckless homicide and sentenced to life inprisonment and be forced to carry out executions in the same way the victims they let die were killed. if the person they let die were killed by head trauma, then they should beat the inmates on death row to death with nothing but their fists, cuz hey they killed 1 already so they shouldn't have problems doing it for the rest of their pathetic lives.....sound extreme? ask the family of that diver how they feel about the people who let their son/father/brother/etc. die |

Re: Struck and Killed by Boat Propeller in Egypt
What sucks the most is everything was going perfectly the ocean was blue and clear everything nice and quiet. Perfect paradise turned into worst case scenario. I'm glad I saw this though made me much more aware of this issue. If one day I go swimming in the beach like this I will make sure too take big precaution! It's a perfect example of life, when you dream about bad things happening, it means you're still fighting and you're still alive. It's when you start to dream about good things that you should start to worry. All Hail DR! |

Re: Struck and Killed by Boat Propeller in Egypt
Well I'm not sure about that, looks like he was with a guide from the hotel or something ..so I would blame the guide moreso than the guy on vacation (who got killed) in a foreign country...I think that's a little unfair of you to say that ! And how do you know .. It could have been a flag posted for all you know (that would make it the person's fault in the small boat ...wouldn't it |

Re: Struck and Killed by Boat Propeller in Egypt
No chance this guy could have survived. Watching the video in slow motion shows that the snorkeler had a deep laceration at the top of the left side of his head, his left ear was missing as well as a series of zig-zag lacerations down the left side of his head to his neck. Throughout the resuscitation attempt on the boat, you can see one of the men holding his hand firmly down on the injured man's jugular. There is a deep laceration there too and it appears he has lost a massive amount of blood, both in the water and on the boat. Also, all of the snorkelers fingers and thumb are missing from his right hand and you can actually see them floating around in the water during the rescue scenes. I saw at least 3 fingers float by in a couple of frames here and there. The guy probably had a very weak pulse by the time he was in the boat and he probably died while they tried to resuscitate him.
