There were. The sniper hit the triangle, and parts went everywhere. Don't have to worry as much about muscle spasms, they are dead before they hit the ground and don't pull the trigger.

I actually don't think it's a wig - it's a black ballcap (and black sunglasses) that fly off when he gets hit, exposing his bald head.

Edit: It's really hard to tell at second glance... haha. It might be a wig.

Could have been a wig, but to be honest, it was the parts of his head that were supposed to remain attached that caught my eye when they went flying.
