You should be particularly distressed at what a shallow thinker you are. This terrorist was born to Afghan immigrants, so yes, he was a citizen. More relavent is the primitive, 7th century Islamic ideology he was steeped in. The same ideology that motivated the outrages in London, Paris, Brussels, NY, Mombai.... You and the rest of the left can't seem to make the connection that by allowing in countless thousands of people from Muslim countries, where the shooters ideology is rampant, attacks are more likely then if immigration was restricted from those nations, does it not? In Europe ISIS finds rich recruiting grounds among the children of Muslim immigrants (Jihadi John, for instance). A border left porous to encourage illegal immigration is another avenue for potential attackers to enter. A sovereign nation has the RIGHT to choose who is allowed to immigrate based on it's needs and priorities, and pausing immigration until we can figure out a way to screen out risky individuals is reasonable, no matter how much your heart bleeds. |
