One discussion thread I came across came up with a theory that, since he was a landlord, his tenants all conveniently never noticed his disappearance, and thus was able to live rent-free.

Reduced to bones and dust and became a new layer to that bed. Sad that no one found him sooner. I'm a reclusive person too, but still..its nice when people will care enough to check on someone if they haven't heard from them for months
