Mouths of many residents in a community in Oyo State, Nigeria, were left wide open, just as the remains of a man, J.A.A., one of the landlords in the community who was found nearly four years after he was last reported alive.

A's skeleton was found in his bedroom after he was last seen in December 2018, when he was 63. He was originally from Port Harcourt, and had told two people that he planned to go there before returning for a ceremony. When he never returned, residents simply thought he had stayed in Port Harcourt. A. was described as a private person who rarely kept in touch with his neighbours.

As for family, his family apparently had a farm in another state, but he refused to be active in it as he didn't want to be seen as getting something from it. He had two children, both of whom were living in the USA, and had separated from his wife. He apparently was in the process of getting a visa to travel to the USA when he died.

Eventually, the bushes around his compound started to grow and snakes were attracted to the residence. Police initially forbade permission for community leaders to go into the house due to privacy reasons, but when the snakes arrived they eventually granted it.

Missing for 4 years and they never thought to look in his house in his bedroom? The famiky decided to sell the house and they found him during open house? I'm skeptical.

They need to do something about their legal system. It should NOT take 4 years for a snake to secure a search warrant. That's rediculous.
