I'm sure of it. I used to provide security for a medical practice. They did pain management there and the doctors had guns pulled on them previously. Since you can buy body armor now almost as easily as buying shoes, I had to have preparations ready to address that reality. The AR-15 is a fine weapon for addressing that potential threat, plus I've been well-trained in its use and am very well-regulated in its operation. The hard part was how to conceal that rifle to keep it secure and inconspicuous, but also easy to withdraw and employ. I figured it out, but it took some head-scratching to get to the resolution. So yeah, there are people like me who are prepared for a number of security scenarios, but look as if we're just another office stiff. I don't work at that job any longer, but there others out there performing similar roles in similar office environments. If done properly, you're unlikely to know if someone similar to me is carrying or not. |
