Re: September 2009 CIA Torture Images
hwo do you know what he admits by him fearing for his life is factual or he is just saying it to stop the incident, very nice too water makes no marks it is like folding close in basic training having to tell your mother you got kicked out cause you didn't fold you underwear in a perfect square. If he claims torture they can just denie it and say look at him there isn't anything wrong with him. They need to be tried you can just indefinitely do that. Of course not our burden of reasonable doubt, all of them would get off, more like military UCMJ,look put on a fake trial then sentence them based on people that would always say they where guilty even if there was no evidence or there was evident that proved they were innocent, we cant have these people getting out and terrorizing all over again, people, in this case it isn't about letting a guilty man free then a free man guilty, it is about we may get it wrong from time to time but just in case we aren't taking any chances so your going too doctorian. Sorry you did fly planes into our buildings should have thought about that before you did that. Though i worry about the ones who shouldnt be there because i want justice too. If you didnt do it dont admit it even if it kills you. |

Re: September 2009 CIA Torture Images
The problem with torture is that people resort to it when they don't know anything. Which means they don't even really know if they've got the right guy. It's just intimidation and stress relief, but hardly effective or justifiable.

Re: September 2009 CIA Torture Images
That kinda stuff doesn't seem as bad as beheadings and the like, but it's that fact that it can go on forever that makes it so horrible. The cumulative effect of people continuously assaulting someone. Even taking shifts as the tormentors themselves get tired... If you're gonna drown me as long as it takes to bleed to death, that's one thing. If you're gonna half drown me for hours on end, day after day, for months and months until I final die of pnuemonia, just cut my throat.
