She screamed for a second or so after the first sword blow, indicating incomplete decapitation. The state executioners in SA are supposed to be better than that - head off with one blow. This guy was more like an ISIS amateur. I wonder if, in the case of a proper single stroke beheading, the recipient has a second or two of conscious awareness afterwards and is able to formulate the thought: "My head has been chopped off", or more accurately, "My body has been chopped off." The brain dies when blood flow is cut off to it, but it may take a few seconds for conscious awareness to fade.

It looked like a state sanctioned execution carried out by a professional executioner.

These are usually carried out with the condemned in a kneeling position.

She refused to cooperate so they had to improvise.

None of her willful psycho b*tch from Hell nonsense was going to work for her this time.

That head was comin' off one way or another. Period.


I think the executioner was always concerned with not damaging his specialized sword.

Those things are rare and very expensive.
