My brother-in-law was stationed in Kuwait some years ago. If my memory serves me right, many of these laborers are from the Philippines or other Southeast Asian countries and are often treated far worse than second-class citizens. It is not uncommon for most of them to be victims of physical violence and sexual abuse. He never mentioned any instances of murder, but obviously that doesn't imply that it never happens either. In any event, I wouldn't be surprised if Saudi Arabia has a more dubious reputation for how they treat their foreign laborers. All of the people I know who have been there, including a friend of mine from Jordan, have nothing nice to say about Saudi Arabia.
