Why would you fire the chief, seeing as how he wasn't there? Assuming he didn't approve of their actions, why come down on him, instead of allowing him to issue proper discipline? If you fire chiefs every time an officer messed up somewhere, you'd never have a chief! Based on that logic, why not remove the mayor too, after all, the chief works for him. No, the thing to do is for the chief to come down hard, appropriately discipline those directly involved, and move on. Now, if he fails to do that, then you have a problem.

Because when the police entered the scene they made up their mind in those first moments as to what happened. There were two people there, One was dead, one was conscious. Bottom line? He must have done it. The police jumped to conclusions, and unfortunately were very wrong in this instance. Unfortunately it happens every day, in every police station, and this is how innocent people end up confessing to crimes they didn’t commit. I found it interesting that the interrogating officer didn’t give any credence to the facial injury, and the effects of the brain injury, even after being given a plausible story for what happened and how he got his injuries!!! It took him almost a half hour into this video to think ‘Maybe he IS telling the truth?’  Good job.

I saw this on Jim can't swims you tube channel. So so extremely sad. How the cops didn't see he had head trauma from the get go is infuriating. His poor family.

WTF is wrong with these cops?!? And what a POS Carvers wife is!!! Hope somebody shoots that c**t in the head and everybody refuses to co-operate.

This is one of the most tragic stories I've read about.... and also chilling and infuriating watching the video.. Don't know about anybody else I felt like reaching through my screen to shake and scream at the cops.. Poor lad truly tragic and like others have said he might have lived longer had he received medical care straight away

The police may not have cared about his injuries but how would him being in custody cause his death? He was conscious for 48 hours after the attack, so how does being in custody for a few hours cause his death? He needed medical attention immediately and never called for help. Why would any police officer would believe his story, he answered the door and talked to the officers... this isn't anyone's fault except the people who shot the couple, not the police. |
