In Volgograd, a man identified as Sergei T. was killed in front of his children when he was run over by a military truck whilst pushing his penny-farthing bicycle besides him. Sergei was reportedly an avid collector of old bicycles and motorcycles.

The truck driver was identified as a 39-year-old local resident, Aleksandr B., who had stolen the vehicle. According to him, he went to the military unit to sign a contract, but they refused to listen to him because he was intoxicated, so he decided to steal the truck.

After running over Sergei, Aleksandr crashed into a UAZ vehicle. He was eventually apprehended. He was described by fellow villagers as being "dumb", and in 2017 he was once stopped by police for drunkenly driving a tractor.

It’s sad for his kids to loose their father but the fucking idiot didn’t bother to turn his head to look in either direction.

He could have prevented his own demise by simply following the “Golden Rule” of crossing the street.
