Most looked lIke they hit the body somewhere. Not all bullets are going to tear the body apart especially with most pistol rounds. It depends on what they hit and where they hit. Some won't even bleed if the rounds are fast enough and some will just pass cleanly through in to the ground and cause dirt to fly. You can't tell unless you had a good examination of the body.
