Re: Real Murder Video Ukraine Dnepropetrovsk Maniacs Victim
I'm assuming we all like gore otherwise we'd be on the wrong kind of site! And I don't think anyone should have to apologise for their likes - I personally never have and am not about to start. You're right that subject matter like this should be acknowledged - as I said in my previous post I wasn't even aware these people existed so this thread has educated me and I have since Googled the little bastards :) Personally I have never seen anything like this and although I didn't like what I saw in the slightest at least I am now aware of how atrocious people really can be. It's a very important video for that I think... I sent the link to a couple of friends and my boyfriend watched it after me and their reactions were pretty much the same - it's painful watching human beings acting in this way and showing no remorse. It also makes you really bloody angry. It's an emotional video and I personally think that these are the kinds of video's that people need to be made aware of. But in a gore sense, I don't think it is the gore that does it - it's just the rollercoaster of emotions you go through watching it... And that, for me, is what makes it stand out because I for one will not forget it for a long time. But some people will find it too much to have to watch the whole thing and I think it's a bit unfair they get singled out. At least they gave it a bloody good go and that does for me. :)

Re: Real Murder Video Ukraine Dnepropetrovsk Maniacs Victim
It is all about heart and passion here and no one point out the poor graphic quality of the post. At this level, there is nothing to see, hence nothing to comment. Is pixelization gore or is it your imagination? There should be a limitation when transcoding, and the providers should make the choice to refuse to broadcast such poor content. But this is the Internet aberration. This flash movie is so bad, it could be anything: a prank, a montage (we know by fact it is real). I would rather people voice up to be provided with visual quality content no matter the topic and discard the rest. Then let's hear your emotion based upon visual reality and not pixelization.

Re: Real Murder Video Ukraine Dnepropetrovsk Maniacs Victim
Mine was based on the audio. I had my volume full and it was the sounds of the guy choking and gurgling that made my stomach turn. Personally it isn't the goriest thing I have seen in terms of blood and guts so the pixelization doesn't mean a great deal. Just reading the description of the video was enough to piss me off without even watching it. It isn't so much the imagery for me - it's what I could hear and just the fact that a couple of rich little idiots could have acted like this.

Re: Real Murder Video Ukraine Dnepropetrovsk Maniacs Victim
Could you please post a link to a better version of this video if you have one, and I'll post that one in it's place. I update these videos as I come across better copies of them, but honestly something recorded on a cell phone is only gonna be so good. So I await that link.

Re: Real Murder Video Ukraine Dnepropetrovsk Maniacs Victim
Will there be better footage? If it was recorded on a phone I assume there's only so high a quality it can actually be. I think there are videos of much worse quality that have come from recording on a phone so am not going to moan about the quality of this one. However it will be interesting to see if there is indeed a "better" version out there. In the meantime I think this does the job and at least it getting the footage out there.

Re: Real Murder Video Ukraine Dnepropetrovsk Maniacs Victim
@FireflyGut The original footage is recorded from a video camera in high definition, not from a mobile phone. They had the plan to make business of their murder movies. Several murders have served this purpose, as to "amuse" the perpetrators... My search on Eastern web (Russian web forums notably) did not return conclusive results. The story was a bit old already. You could get hold on their material before their arrest. Now, if someone has better sources, pm me. For the origin of this movie on doucmentingreality, see my post above on the thread. |

Re: Real Murder Video Ukraine Dnepropetrovsk Maniacs Victim
We all know it came from the YNC, no one cares about that. So it was not filmed on a cell phone, I don't see anything saying it was filmed in Hi-def either though. But, I still am waiting for a better source, post the link and I'll work with that. Until then, I am totally failing to see your point.

Re: Real Murder Video Ukraine Dnepropetrovsk Maniacs Victim
NB: users should stop to assume that most of the content comes from mobile phones, so that's just fine to watch. Most of the time this is news content, or private camera footage. But since people want everything fast, the level of transcoding becomes ridiculous to satisfy the demand/bandwith limitation (and yes, you can output flv or .mp4 movies of good quality, but there is still a subsequent size - video is not text). It is pretty funny to see people watching a low resolution movie 128x96 in full screen resolution on their PC, thinking "it is okay because it is free and it is recorded from a mobile phone".
