Razorback Drummer Brian Velasco Jumps to His Death
Brian Velasco, the drummer for the Filipino rock band Razorback, tragically took his own life on January 16, 2019, by jumping from the 34th floor of a building in Manila. This distressing event was live-streamed on Facebook, making it a particularly shocking and public incident. Velasco, aged 41 at the time, was known for his work with Razorback, a band he joined in 1996. Before his fatal leap, he was seen in the live stream saying goodbye to his friends and family with a final message, "I'm going to go now," followed by, "Here I go." His body was later found on a safety canopy on the ground floor of the condominium building in Malate, Manila. The incident brought to light the serious issue of mental health and depression. In the wake of this tragic event, there was a public outcry against the sharing of the video, with many considering it disrespectful and harmful, especially for the family and friends of Velasco. The Philippines Department of Health and other individuals and groups emphasized the importance of respecting the privacy of those involved and not sharing such distressing content. |

WoW! That was really wild! I'm actually kinda surprised that we haven't seen more of these what with the way everyone seems to like to film their suicides. This will undoubtedly start a new trend... |
