Re: Rapper MC Daleste Shot and Killed on Stage

Look, i agree it's not nice what they did to him.
BUT
To call him an "artist" just because he has 250,000 "likes" on facebook is like to claim that eating shit for breakfast is a good thing since millions, billions flies love eating shit on daily basis, and bear in mind that some facebook users are definitely LESS intelligent than some flies.

So, if you say that what happened is sad for him and his supporters, ok, i agree, but don't try to pass this dude as an artist, because actual artists would turn over in their grave, there's not much difference between the noise being inflicted to your ears when you listen to such a "music" and the noise made by the workers who are demolishing a building close to my house.

You ask for respect for the dude? You are absolutely right.

You want ME to accept the idea that THIS was an artist? Of FUNK? Hint: study the ROOTS of funk, and it basis. Anyway he didn't respect his fans since he claimed to be a funk artist despite he was just some dude able to make much noise. Popular, with many followers, but NO, that's not ART.
Nonono, you misunderstand me. I don't think he was a "good" artist". I don't think anybody is going to be singing his praises 100 years from now. I think that his for the most is a complete bastardization of the funk genre. At to clarify my definition of "art" - at the end of the day, what the kid was doing IS considered "art", but it is "pop art" which appeals to masses of musical simpletons. My point is that he was killed doing what he loves to do - entertaining people, and there is a certain particular sadness to that.

I'm not trying to give props to the kid for his artistic stylings, which were and are obviously a sub-par gimmick. Nevertheless he found some success (as many who create shitty art do). Certainly no reason to kill the fellow.

Re: Rapper MC Daleste Shot and Killed on Stage

Cry me a river. Did you see how he dropped? Its as if someone turned off a light switch. The one second he's alive and the next second he's dead. He was dead before he even hit the ground. At least his death wasn't messy, resting neatly against stage equipment.
Whether or not he had a quick and painless death is irrelevant to the point that I am trying to make.

Re: Rapper MC Daleste Shot and Killed on Stage

No he was not dead when he hit the ground and he was shot in the stomach not the chest that bullet knocked the wind out of him all he could do was collapse if there is another video of the shooting i seen on youtube he actually stood back up bout 10 seconds after he collapse then he raised up his shirt and it apears something feel out of his stomach made me sick tot he stomach when i say it heres a link watch it after he gets shot he stands back up then raises shirt and looks like his guts fell out thats when people really started screaming
You're absolutely right. I hadn't seen the video you posted. He lifts up his shirt and some organ or organs fall out, followed by a trail of blood. It looks like his stomach fell out.

Re: Rapper MC Daleste Shot and Killed on Stage

I sincerely appreciate this post and i agree with the 100% of it, thanks.

What's sad is that there are so many disposable 15/16/17 y.o. pseudo-artists, that the youngsters unavoidably loose their orientation because they love his tattoos or because he's nice-looking;
this boy definitely caught the attention of many fans, but in the meantime his fans were losing the touch with real music. And this is a waste.

For each one of these screamers, there will be someone doing some good and hard work, following the rules, who gets unnoticed:
I bet my ass that nobody of those 250,000 know
THESE people: wayne shorter, stanley clarke, herbie hancock, omar hakim, milton nascimento.
And MARCUS MILLER. And that's not even pure funk, as marcus' presence by itselfs means that there's some fusion. With JAZZ, not with noise.

So, what are we supposed to expect from the next generations? A bunch of sheeps?
I believe that there are many potential geniuses in this world, some people able to create something new, to communicate emotions. Music is a treasure that enriches my soul and yours, one of the few things that make me still love humans.

The poor dude was told that he was a star of funk, but actually his "music" was pseudo-reggae, a failed attempt: but since he had many followers, someone (record label?) exploited him until his bitter end (and you will see, someone will make much more money from now on).

P:S: why macchiedisangue? That's 3000% italian.
No need to answer, enjoy .

Thanks again
hehe, there will always be people who want to listen to shitty canned music. just as there are people who will always eat at places like McDonald's, and people who enjoy MTV reality shows and...you get the point. On the bright side, though, there will also always be people pushing the frontiers and creating great art.

Nope, I'm not Italian. I'm American (not of Italian descent). A friend of mine (who is of Italian descent) had this username on some website or the other many years ago, and I liked it. It means "stains of blood". Thought it would fit nicely on this site.
