.45 caliber is extremely low velocity. In pistol ammo, generally the higher the caliber, the lower velocity. This was most likely 9mm or .40 at the largest. The reason it rotated on recoil so strongly is because he had that extended mag on it lowering the center of mass. When the center of mass is in line with the line of thrust (in this case recoil), then the movement is straight back. The further the center of mass is from the line of recoil, the more rotation is imparted. |
