Police Shooting Near Central Station Sydney
Police shootings are pretty rare in Australia so I thought this was worth sharing since I found footage of the shooting on Facebook. From what I have been able to find online, around 6 hours ago a standoff began near Central train station in Sydney and the offender charged towards police with scissors when an officer opened fire four times. The footage is a little out of focus in places and shot in portrait but it is all I can find of the incident. |

Re: Police Shooting Near Central Station Sydney
The offender got what he wanted. The cops once again used excessive force- i would have thought that this was in america. It only takes 1 or 2 bullets to the legs or lower torso to demobilize a target.(call the ambulance get him the help he needed-make the arrest) If they were aiming for the leg/lower torso then i could see them using as many shots as they wanted until the offender was demobilized. (more chance of living) There were 4 kill shots at that close of range. They were aiming for the head/upper torso. Its not like he had a gun... it was a pair of scissors. If he were armed with a firearm then shoot to kill. I also like how it seems police everywhere make the kill and then say "drop it right now" or something like that after the offender is already dead or dying. They shoot to kill not demobilize and apprehend on cases like these. The offender knew what would happen and people like that take full advantage of the situation. Cases like these are assisted suicide but they just will not admit it. If thats really the case then they should just offer it- feel like suicide? go to your local PD and have them put one in your skull. If thats not whats really happening then the police need more training on how to apprehend suspects without deadly force who are not armed with a firearm. |

Re: Police Shooting Near Central Station Sydney
No doubt it was suicide by cop. And to be fair the police are trained to shoot to kill. Like I said above, police shootings like this are rare here and I expect it will cause a mass public outcry similar to when a knife wielding bloke charged at the police on a beach many years ago and both officers opened fire and it was all caught on camera by a news crew.

Someone needs a swift kick in the ass from reality. Lemme guess: You've never fired a gun before, have you? |

![]() Just in case you have never seen police training targets. Perhaps you'd like to tell us what kind of bullets they use? Since you're such an expert on police training... |
